At the railway we have two Cafe's located at either end of the railway.
Situated on the platform at Fairbourne between the Museum and Model Railway is the Station Cafe. This coffee shop style cafe is open every day that trains are running other than 'Diesel on Demand' days. Relax and enjoy a wide selection of freshly prepared sandwiches and cakes as well as speciality coffees, teas, wines, ciders and the locally produced, award winning Purple Moose beers. Why not spend some time viewing the latest railway DVDs or watching the model railway through the large viewing window. Outside the school holidays, this is the place to get your train tickets and souvenirs.
Harbour View Cafe
At the terminus of the railway at Barmouth Ferry Station, Harbour View Cafe is situated in a fantastic location overlooking Barmouth Bridge, Barmouth Harbour and the Mawddach estuary. Harbour View is open on green and orange timetable days and is virtually on the golden, sandy beach from where the ferries depart for the short crossing to Barmouth.
Harbour View offers a similar range of snacks, drinks and ice cream as the Station Cafe. Why not sit back with a coffee (or something stronger!) and enjoy the stunning scenery, view the wildlife or simply watch the trains come and go.
