An Invitation To Join The Fairbourne Railway Preservation Society & Help Support The Railway
If active support appeals to you, however much or little time you have available, we would be delighted to see you. We can offer volunteers the opportunity to participate in almost every aspect of the railway's operation. Like most narrow gauge lines today, the Fairbourne Railway relies on volunteers, working alongside full time staff, to keep running. Offering something for everyone from being a guard to those who dream of driving an engine. So, whether you are interested in being a guard or a gardener; painting or permanent way; engineering or even perhaps being an engine driver, we can use you.
If you should have any particular skills or experience which may be of use, please let us know. In return, we can offer you an absorbing and rewarding interest, a warm welcome, great fun - and as much tea as you can drink!

*Please note that your membership entitles you to free travel on all railway timetabled trains, including annual gala. this excludes evening events, Santa specials Halloween & any other special trains
The Fairbourne Railway Preservation Society welcomes members of all ages who are interested in supporting the continuation of the line. We are also offering an opportunity to those who would like to get actively involved with the railway. The minimum age for active volunteers is 16 years old or 14 years old if accompanied by a parent or guardian.
